First... I sketch on tracing paper. |
And so begins the actual painting once I'm happy with the preliminaries. |
Tada! Painted and ready to send to Ruth for the next leg of it's journey. Ruth being Ruth Schmuff Designs my illustrious distributor. Once Ruth gets my finished master, it's measured, photographed, hopefully ooooo'd and aaaahhhh'd over, and then ... it's sent to the repeat painters for production. Whew, it's a journey. |
Oh, Kimberly, I think this is my most favorite by far. It is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon! This one is a sweet compliment to Emma's Little Bird design. I enjoyed creating both. Maybe some day I'll get to stitching Little Dancer too.
DeleteSo happy you shared. I wondered how you produce more than one of this gorgeous canvas. Repeat painters!! I am so envious of your talent!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading! Some of the magic that happens requires assistance. I tried painting my own...almost ruined my hands. I tend to have a strangle hold on my paint brush when I'm stitch painting.
DeleteDefinitely ooooo'd and aaaahhhh'd over by many adoring fans, Kimberly!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah! Hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving.
DeleteYou make it look and sound so easy! :)
ReplyDeleteDoes sound easy....one step at a time ;-)
