My brain loves this!
Calculating a border sets my design muse on its ear,
too much fun...no way!
Some days are made for playing with thread and stitches. Messing around with string art and fine thread is one of my favorites. And a little dragonfly was born in the corner. |
Coming up with a light coverage background is next on the 'todo' list. |
Happy little bug. |
Art Deco feel, maybe. Reminds me of a carved border around the top of an old building. Didn't know I was architectural, did you? |
You always have the coolest borders! I can't wait to see the finished design.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteThank you!
This is wonderful! What a great border stitch, and the dragonfly corners are perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara, I'm having fun with this one.
DeleteMy hat is off to anyone who can figure out borders. I am totally flummoxed by working out the math.
ReplyDeleteNancy, the trick is to start in the center and wing the corners. Which is what I totally did with this, i.e. dragonfly motifs at the corners.
DeleteI love this border Kimberly!! Ardith is going to love the dragonfly!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy!
DeleteRemember last Octobers workshop...you saw the full canvas then...

It's taken too long to get to the stitching part, so I'm having fun!
I love this border Kimberly!!! Ardith is going to love the dragonfly. Always love seeing how that quirky brain of yours translates to canvas ;)
ReplyDeleteI love borders on things. You have a great eye. Love the dragonfly detail in the corner.
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Thank you, have a great weekend!
DeleteI, too, am tickled with the border and the corners. It is light and elegant and is just so like you!
ReplyDeleteOh Randi, you are so sweet. Thank you!
DeleteThis border is so inspirational for me. I'd like to think more outside the box with background stitches.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate,
DeleteI'm honored. Your work is pretty amazing.
