It's a gorgeous day and I'm feeling like a slug. What I want is to sit quietly with a basket weave piece. Which would require me to 'have' one ready with threads and I, of course, do not!
I've a lovely piece drawn on canvas ready for painting. That's what should be my focus...but my messy mind is elsewhere.
I'm going to totally blame this on the time change. Speaking of clocks....the one below is amazing.
My daughter took this beautiful shot of the Astronomical Clock in Prague a few years back. It's one of my favorites of hers. You can see more of her work here. |
I also felt somewhat like a slug, lack of proper sleep does that to you. I did get to stitch a mindless border during our EGA meeting this morning.
ReplyDeleteI would like to ask a question. I keep looking at a photo of your piece, Evolve. I can not figure out what one of the stitches is. Interior corners, stitched in white, with what appears to be a purple shade underneath. Could you please tell me what the stitch is? Please!

Hi,
DeleteNot positive as to what you're looking at but could be the Norwich/Waffle stitch which is two colors. White and lavender, love stitching those in two colors.
Awesome photo!
ReplyDeleteI had a sluggish weekend, but today's sunshine and blue skies energized me, and I checked off several major things on my list. Feels good! '-)
I ended up stitching on a new belt design and watching a movie, twas wonderful. Basket weave, of course.
